For your age you need 9-12 hours of sleep a night. Lack of sleep can make it hard to concentrate and pay attention in school. By having a set bedtime ensures that you have enough sleep, also gives you a chance to have a relaxing bedtime routine. A relaxing bedtime routine means not using electronic devices including the TV and computers at least one hour before your bedtime. You could do other things like colouring, having a nice bath/shower, reading a book or magazine. This helps our sleepy hormone to work so that you are able to have a good night’s sleep. |
